Steffi Harbert - Senior Associate

With approximately 20 years’ experience in the energy sector, Steffi has a background in strategic transformation programs and is a proven innovator in benefits lifecycle management and benefits realisation.  Steffi has deep insight and experience developing, planning and deploying strategies, programs and initiatives in a large complex and culturally diverse energy utility.  With proven change leadership expertise Steffi has developed and delivered plans for major ICT enabled programs impacting up to 4500 employees – ERP implementation and Field Force Automation.  With experience in both Government owned (Ergon Energy QLD) and ASX listed (AusNet Services VIC) utilities, Steffi understands the importance of delivering bottom line value and efficiencies to improve affordability and the customer experience.

Steffi has Post Graduate Management (QUT) qualifications and an APM certificate in Program Management and uses a variety of models and frameworks to ensure alignment between the key dimensions of people, process, systems, information and data to drive new ways of thinking and working – culture shift.  With an interest in benefits management, Steffi has leveraged international research and best practice to facilitate a paradigm shift in benefit thinking to proactive benefit ownership and realisation.

Highlights

  • Established and managed delivery of the change management strategy around the elements of Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement, Business Preparedness, Communications, Training and Coaching, Transition and Go/NoGo Decision, Post Go Live Support and Stabilisation for major programs impacting up to 4500 employees.

  • Successfully developed scope, investment logic and business cases for multi-phased, multi-streamed Field Force Automation program impacting 3500 field workers.

  • Collaborated with benefit owners (at Executive and GM level) to define benefits for endorsement. Developed benefit realisation plans and supporting glidepaths (totalling $200M) specific for each benefit owner.

  • Developed multi-level governance charters and reporting frameworks for steering committees and reference groups. Pioneered new ways of thinking about governance with benefit owners the decision makers.

  • Deployed a new portfolio and project management solution for a major strategic program – now to be deployed enterprise wide.

  • Developed the quality plan to identify and define key project deliverables, responsibilities and approval methodology.

  • Facilitated development of a shared roadmap for future field mobility capabilities across two energy distributors and IT provider, with both an aspirational and dependent view.
